About Us

Monte Vista Elementary is a Preschool through 6th grade learning community dedicated to academic excellence, character development, and strong family partnerships. As a California Gold Ribbon School and PBIS Platinum School, we are proud of the systems and structures that support both high achievement and a positive school climate.

Our students are guided by three foundational expectations: Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible. Through our PBIS framework, we intentionally teach and reinforce positive behavior so that every student can learn in a safe and supportive environment.

We offer a broad range of academic and enrichment programs, including GATE, English Language Development, Special Education services, after-school intervention, Expanded Learning opportunities, music, and visual arts. Student progress is closely monitored through multiple measures, and families are kept informed through regular communication, conferences, and schoolwide events.

At Monte Vista, learning extends beyond academics. We believe in developing confident learners who demonstrate kindness, responsibility, and pride in their community.
